Trek Up To Mount Toubkal


Walking is a wonderful art for travellers, it allows everybody to discover and learn the best rythm to follow & act while exploring probably the best way of exploring the real morocco landscape, such us mountains, ,berber villages, valleys, highest peaks (mount toubkal), beaches & historic monuments either independently or with a group. The speed of pace is perfect for taking in all that this beautiful country has to offer. You won’t miss as thing!
There are thousands of walking routes all over morocco; miles of trails, that will take you over green terraces and duns and deep valleys, with some amazing surrounding scenery. Every part of morocco offers some kind of walking/trekking and hiking opportunities.

MOunt Toubkal Ascent 2 Days 

 Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and we are going up to it on this two-day adventure. It is not for solo travellers and every booking has to have a minimum of two persons. The trek will be guided and the expedition will be driven from Marrakech to a small Berber village, Imlil, where the real adventure in the mountains begins.





Day 1 : Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge :
After an early breakfast at the hotel in Marrakech, our driver will pick you up and take
you to the heart of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, the trek starts from Imlil (1740m), 4
at 67km on the south west of Marrakech, here you will meet the team who will accompany
you during trek, the muleteers will deal with your luggage, food & all other equipments that
we usually provide for our clients, within half an hour you start the walk with an experienced
mountain guide through the Berber villages following a mule track which will take you to the
mountain hut via the shrine Sidi Chamhrouch (2500m) where you will have your lunch, after
lunch & a short break, continue towards the refuge (3200m),

Day 2 : Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal Summit – Imlil :
Wake up early to avoid the sunny way, breakfast around 5.00am and start the ascent climb at 5.30am, step by step until you get to the point above the hut where you have a short break with nuts, water etc..
After 3h/4h walking up the hill, you will be able to see all the high atlas mountains like a view from the air, stunning view of the green valleys & Berber villages, a break on the summit of jebel toubkal will allow to take pictures & enjoy the views before heading down to the hut, a diversify lunch will be ready for you there.  After lunch you walk down hill towards Imlil by the same route but you have an option to stay on the hut 2nd  night depending to your flight time & holiday schedule (to be informed in advance if needed).

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil/High Atlas Mountains– Tizi Mzik– Tamsoulte Waterfalls — Tizi Oussem Village
After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up & drive towards the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya and Asni, enjoy the stunning view of the villages along the valleys. You’ll then arrive to Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet the guide and muleteer for your trip and then start the trek and climb to the Tizi Mzik pass (2684m), enjoy a spectacular view over Imlil valley and gaze up to the Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m), and continue down to Azzaden valley through a beautiful juniper forest to get to Tizi Oussem village. You’ll relax overnight at the guesthouse in the village.
Day 2: Tizi Oussem – Id Issa Village – Tizi Oudid  – Mattat
After breakfast, enjoy the sunshine in this colorful valley and its marvelous typical Berber villages, leave Tizi Oussem and continue down to Id Issa village before heading up to the Tizi Oudid mountain pass (2000m), cross Matat village after traversing a wild juniper forest and enjoy lunch under walnut groves while relaxing near the river. In the afternoon transfer back to Marrakech.
